A favorite of many, and one of our standard soaps, this rose soap looks different from those we’ve done before.
This basic soap recipe comes from Susan Miller Cavitch, author of “The Soapmaker’s Companion,” which could be called a soapmaker’s bible.
With olive oil comprising most of the contents, this soap, “is a very good moisturizer, not because it has its own healing properties, but because it attracts external moisture, holds the moisture close to the skin, and forms a breathable film to prevent loss of internal moisture.”*
Ingredients: Coconut, Olive, and Palm oils; Egyptian Geranium Rose essential oil; rainwater and lye.
