Back in Action

Been working on the website, trying to get it updated and working right.

Sometimes that takes a while, especially when long periods of inactivity go by. Trying to figure out how to do better marketing. Don’t know if that’s a gift some people have or if it can be learned.

Also working on setting up a shop on Etsy. Man, the soaps some of those people have on there are amazing. Makes one feel pretty small, insignificant and inexperienced. But we’re working on it.

(Update Jan 16, 2017: Gave up on the Etsy idea.)

From Zero to 60 in One Day

Well, this looks like another post that disappeared thanks to the recent hacking. Hard to remember what I said two years ago, but judging from the comment by Jonathan, I probably said what a help he’d been to me with the website. He’s a real genius when it comes to these kinds of things.

At the time, I think he was about 16 years old. Since then, his mother and dad sold their farm and they moved with their three kids to Costa Rica. I think I got that right. Anyway, they’re involved in a self-supporting mission project down there. Precious people!

Welcome to our world of soap!

Soap Shelves
We started making soap in our country kitchen New Year’s Day 2013, and haven’t used store-bought soap since. We love making it for family and friends, and our own use, but always have some left over. So why not share it with others who appreciate the fine qualities of handcrafted soap?

We make cold and hot process soap using natural ingredients. Each individually hand-cut bar weighs between 4 and 5 ounces.

We also make lip balm and lotion bars, and for the first time we’ve added paracord bracelets and hand crocheted baby booties in addition to the hot pads.

Made with natural food-grade fats, cosmetic-grade essential oils and fragrance oils, there are no mysterious chemicals or artificial preservatives in any of our soaps. People with known allergies to any of the ingredients shouldn’t use the soap.
